I have been engaged by our client seeking a full-time Senior Payroll Coordinator located in their downtown Cleveland office. Under the direction of the HRIS Manager, the Senior Payroll Coordinator will provide timely, accurate and excellent service to all members of the organization in regards to the payroll function.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Compile HR & Payroll data such as personal charges, changes from ESP’s, transfers, overtime, reimbursements, taxes, garnishments, levies, general ledger entries and account reconciliation.
  • Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
  • Organize payroll-related files and assist with general filing duties.
  • Assist in the retrieval of files for auditors as directed.
  • Complete data entry to payroll records.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries for all levels of staff and management.
  • Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of payroll.
  • Create accrual reporting from Kronos.
  • Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
  • Audit payroll data before transmission.
  • Communicate errors, issues and unique situations to team and management.
  • Create general ledger reconciles for each payroll and submit to Finance.
  • Responsible for charity remittances. 
  • Create and submit retirement plan remittances.
  • Assist with 1099-R administration. This includes interfacing with ADP, ensuring the documents are accurate, and distributing them in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for semi-annual data confirmation process and answering questions related to the data confirmation system. 
  • Respond to data requests submitted to the HR Data & Report Request mailbox.
  • The organization, maintenance, and retrieval of payroll-related files.
  • Respond to requests for verifications of employment.
  • Provide project support as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Candidates must have advanced knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software (MS Excel Formulae including VlookUp, Concatenation, Converting files and Pivot Tables); accounting software; payroll systems and human resource systems (ADP Enterprise EHRMS and Kronos Workforce Central). Must exhibit a positive, responsive demeanor to inquiries. Must have excellent customer service skills, be team oriented, flexible and a problem solver.
