IT Manager
This position is responsible for technological support for all functions of the organization including network infrastructure development and maintenance, software/ERP development and support, IT help desk functionality, communications support and continuous improvement of all automated systems.
 
 
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with business teams to analyze projects, proposals, requirements, and provide appropriate technical support
  • Recommends and develops plans for systems development, budget, operations, hardware and software purchases
  • Interact with management and staff to design and execute business solutions and provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions
  • Oversee the availability of application and infrastructure for project execution
  • Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies, security policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance
  • Works with vendors, consultants and technical personnel for services and products
  • Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage and maintenance of software programs, ERP System, and hardware
  • Manage regular backup, storage, and retrieval functions of critical data
  • Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment productions, malfunctions, virus reports and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address issues
  • Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plan
  • Supports users with computer related problems such as network access, software and hardware problems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network printers, network firewalls, network servers, telephone systems, cell phone plans, ERP Systems, reporting tools and all other company networked and communication systems
  • Responsible for report development and ad hoc report writing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and other IT equipment problems and malfunction
  • Manage administration of user accounts including email, remote access, etc
  • Analyzes the strategic need for new and/or upgraded information technology
  • Responsible for the long-range strategy planning of new releases and implementation of new releases and patches
  • Maintains the building’s security system
  • Remains available for after-hours support, as needed
  • Continuously monitors all wireless handheld scanner devices and advises management on user or hardware issues
  • Completes all other IT projects as assigned
 
 
 
Required experience:
 
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Support and Project Management
  • Working knowledge of VMWare products and Virtualization, SAN set-up and management
  • Prior experience with support and implementation of an ERP System in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in data system implementation and installation, experience installing and upgrading Windows based PC’s, experience installing, upgrading and managing Windows networks and servers
  • Working knowledge of networking and firewalls, including switch configuration
  • Report writing skills using SQL or Crystal Reports

  • Ability to work with the Shop Floor Process Control group to provide resources and support for the Industrial networks and infrastructure as needed
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office
  • Strong Project Management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment
 
 
Desired Experience
  • Microsoft Certification(s) or Networking Certification(s)
