This position will be a key member of the North American SAP Support team. This position requires excellent team work and collaboration skills to work with key Purchasing and Transportation business leaders from across the organization to help build and maintain alignment on current and future business processes.
Major Deliverables include:

  • Streamlined and standardized business processes in the Purchase to Pay (PTP) and Transportation areas while enhancing the supply chain efficiency
  • Implement and maintain a stable, flexible and scalable PTP platform which supports a rapidly changing, growing business model.
  • Be an integral member within a team culture of excellent customer service with an emphasis on consistent communication with the business.
  • Support and enhance the configuration model in SAP to support PTP business processes.
  • Be a technical expert relative to SAP MM and Transportation processes and configuration.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The SAP Technical PTP Analyst will possess an effective mix of team work, communication, business knowledge, and SAP MM and Transportation configuration skills to support the organization with technical SAP solutions. Utilizing these skills, the SAP Technical PTP Analyst will be an integral part of the team that is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the SAP PTP applications across North America.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing the user community with SAP Procurement, Payment, and Transportation technical and business process application support.
  • Providing the solutions in a complex SAP environment across all North American business units.
  • Assisting an SAP team of business, technical and external consulting resources to streamline key business processes thru the implementation and support of the SAP ERP system.
  • Configuring the SAP PTP applications based on business requirements.
  • Developing RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancement and Forms) specifications to complete custom development.
  • Building strong internal & external stakeholder relationships by aligning system solutions to our changing business requirements.
  • Staying current with new technologies especially within the SAP MM and Transportation areas to align technologies with the business direction.
  • Supporting the development and enforcement of the policies and procedures for the introduction and support of application development enhancements.
  • Position will require approximately 25% travel mostly in the US and Canada.
  • Solid people skills with a customer focused mentality.
  •  A four-year college degree from an accredited university or significant work experience in an IT related field is required.
  •  A proven technical professional, with experience in SAP R/3 ERP support in at least one manufacturing and distribution organization.
  •  Three to five years of experience working with and supporting Purchasing and Transportation departments either within I.T. or within the business.
  •  Three to five years of hands on configuration experience in SAP in the MM module.
  • A proven resource in defining SAP system requirements with the ability to configure the SAP applications based on those requirements.
  • Knowledge of SAP LE (Logistics Execution) functionality.
  • Knowledge of configuration relative to route determination, shipping conditions, procurement processes etc. within SAP.
  • Be familiar with master data that affects the PTP process including but not limited to material master, vendor master, purchasing info record, etc.
  • Familiar with Output Conditions including printing, faxing, and emailing.
  • Have experience in creating RICEF specifications to support custom development needed to support the procurement and transportation business design.
  • Experience with SAP On-Going Technical and Application Support.
